    • Institution Description: Housed in the former residence of the lighthouse keepers and the Coast Guard Chief, built in 1871, the museum contains models; paintings; marine artifacts; photos of early Ashtabula Harbor, ore boats and tugs; miniature hand-made, working brass tools; and the world’s only working scale model of a Hulett ore unloading machine. The Museum offers an expansive view of Ashtabula Harbor.

    • Institution Description: The Canton Museum of Art is Stark County’s home for art.     • Institution Description: Today, the Algonquin Mill Farm Complex is comprised of the Mill, farm house, several barns and storage buildings, craft building and farm museum, several reconstructed log houses and an award winning arboretum. The steam powered flouring mill produces stone ground flours and corn meal for sale to the public. Both the Mill and McCook House are listed in the National Register of Historic Sites.

    • Institution Description: F. W. "Bill" Purmort, Jr., President of Central from 1964 to 1994, first took an interest in collecting fire equipment in 1969. Bill was particularly proud of Central's heritage with a deep respect for the past. He gradually built Central's museum into one of the finest privately owned collections in the U.S. The museum is dedicated to the ingenuity and pioneer spirit of those who came before us. Much of the equipment on display is part of our local history and was actually used in Van Wert.

    • Institution Description: The Inland Seas Maritime Museum, operated by the Great Lakes Historical Society, seeks to preserve and make known the history of the Great Lakes. The museum features original artifacts representing the history of commercial shipping and recreational boating. Of note is the museum's collection of scale ship models, shipwreck artifacts and its one-of-a-kind 2nd order fresnel lens from the Spectacle Reef Lighthouse.
