We at OMA are happy to announce the return of The Ohio Museums Association Museum Perks booklet - a great and money saving benefit available online to OMA members! The Museum Perks Booklet is a collection of special offers by OMA members, for OMA members and contains “coupons” for products and services, ranging from free and discounted admission, gift shop and café discounts, tour vouchers and more!

 Thanks to the generous offers of OMA members like you, previous booklets contained over 40 special offers from institutions all over the state. We look forward to even more special offers from Ohio Museums for the 2012 booklet! As in the past, this benefit is available only to Ohio Museums Association members.

For those not familiar with the Museum Perks booklet, the “coupons” work like this: Let’s say, for example The OMA Museum would like to offer a reduced admission. The coupon for the OMA Museum would contain the museum’s logo, their specific offer, and an expiration date. To take advantage of the offer the bearer would simply redeem the coupon at the admissions desk.  The coupon explains the offer completely, and has the institution’s logo directly on the coupon to eliminate any confusion for admissions staff.

The coupon system can be customized for your museum’s personal offer.  In previous years, institution’s have offered free or discounted admission, gift shop, café, or parking discounts -- whatever best suits your museum!

How can I get a 2012 OMA Museum Perks Booklet?

Are you or your institution a member of the Ohio Museums Association? Starting January 2, 2012, to receive your copy of the 2012 Museum Perks Booklet simply email the OMA office from your institutional email (for example: johndoe@museum.org) requesting a booklet. OMA will then send the electronic booklet to the employee via that email. OMA will also accept an email or phone call from an employee who knows their institution’s OMA member number as membership confirmation.
