Join OMA and museum directors from across Ohio for the Ohio Museum Director's Chat!

Dear Directors of Ohio museums:
For the past few years, the Ohio Museums Association has been working to facilitate a space where Ohio’s museum directors can gather to connect with colleagues from across the state in an informal way. We had originally planned to kick off this initiative at our annual conference this spring in Cincinnati – but, as we all know, 2020 had different plans.
As we move into autumn amid the continuation of the COVID-19 pandemic, the need to connect, ask questions, and learn from each other has become even more important.
To this end, OMA will be facilitating a bi-monthly zoom conversation, the second Tuesday of each odd-numbered month from 11 am-12 pm with the directors of Ohio’s museums so you can connect with each other, meet those you might not have met before, talk about what’s on your mind and the current issues they are facing, and ask questions of each other. This month's Ohio Museum Director's Chat will take place Tuesday, September 9 at 11 am.

This is not an OMA-steered program - this is just a casual conversation for you to be able to connect with your museum director colleagues from across the state. OMA is very happy to act as your host, and to let you all steer the conversation. Of course, we are here to help however we can, so if there are needs/areas identified that OMA can be of assistance, we will be there to get those resources to you.
Thank you all for the work you do to lead Ohio’s museums, and especially all that you have done to continue to work to your missions and provide education and other opportunities to your community during this unprecedented year. We look forward to “seeing” you for the conversation in September!
