Meet the #OMA2026 Social Media Ambassador!
The Ohio Museums Association is proud to introduce our 2026 Social Media Ambassador - Mel Magin! Mel will be sharing their 2026 conference experience on their social media channels in real time to act as a resource for both those joining us in Columbus, and those not able to attend in-person. (Want to join us on-site at this year's conference? There's still time to register!)
Mel Magin is a Senior at Ohio state University dual majoring in History and Political Science, the president of Ohio State's only Historical Reenactment group The Medieval College of Saint Brutus, and has recently joined the Phi Alpha Theta academic honorary.

Mel previously served three seasons as a historical interpreter at Ohio Village specializing in gilded age Ohio and now does social media management for the local branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism. In their free time, Mel participates in a wide variety of reenactment based activities and time periods, most common of which being Gilded Age Ohio, Byzantine, and the Kievan Rus.
