Dear Ohio Museum Community,

As you might be aware, on Tuesday, March 13, 2020, Governor Mike DeWine issued an order banning the gathering of more than 100 people to help fight the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) in Ohio.

As this order affects all activities planned as part of the Ohio Museums Association’s Annual Conference, April 5-6, OMA will be postponing the 2020 Annual Conference and will be rescheduling OMA 2020 for a date later this year.

The OMA board, staff and the 2020 conference committee are working hard to solidify our new conference dates, and we will be in contact as soon as that information has been finalized. At that time, we will also be outlining next steps for those who have already registered, those who are no longer able to join us during the rescheduled dates, and for those who have made reservations at the conference hotel.

We care about your well-being, and that of our conference attendees, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors, and want to make sure we are able to offer the great conference experience you expect from OMA while keeping our event-goers and your home communities safe.

We hope you can join us in Cincinnati for the rescheduled OMA 2020 Annual Conference.

Thank you all for your patience, understanding and flexibility as we make these conference changes. I look forward to welcoming you to Cincinnati later this year. Until then, stay safe, and please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, or if OMA can be a resource to you and your museum in any way.

Sincerely,
Johnna McEntee
