The recent past has seen unprecedented challenges, disruptions, and changes in the world-at-large and for our field. Museums have had to stay nimble and embrace flexibility to adapt to ever-changing situations.
So, what comes next?
When we reflect on how museums responded in the past few years, how can we reconcile our learned experiences and apply them to future unknown disruptions? What role do museums have as places of healing? How has the past two years changed your institution? Your outreach? Your internal systems? How do we move forward with equity in our organizations? What are museums’ roles in our communities?
Join us in Cincinnati, April 2-4 as we explore these topics and more at the 2022 Ohio Museums Association’s Annual Conference: Adaptability & Flexibility: Reflecting for the Future.

Submit your session proposal now for the 2022 annual conference of the Ohio Museums Association as we explore best practices and innovative ideas in Ohio museums. We're seeking session proposals that will foster dynamic conversations around:
- Public Expectations – museums’ roles in our communities; how public interaction/outreach has changed
- Budgeting for uncertainty – planning for unknown futures
- Museums and public safety – how has it changed?
- Museum workplace practices – creating more equitable and sustainable hiring and workplace cultures
- Fundraising efforts and donor cultivation
- Working with students and schools – the future of school outreach
- Digital content – effective methods, monetization, and the digital/hybrid future
