For many museums, membership is not only an important revenue stream, but also a way to add value and engage with their community. How should museums adapt their membership programs and communicate with their members when the museum is going through a prolonged closure?

Join Dana Hines of Membership Consultants as she discusses reopening strategies for your membership program. Learn what you should be thinking about and planning now to be ready for reopening in the future. Topics include membership benefits, extensions of renewal dates, renewals, acquisition, on-site sales plus preparing staff for members’ return to your institutions. What to expect in unprecedented times and dealing with a new normal are questions that we will ponder together.

Also joining the panel is Lauren Brewer, Membership Coordinator at the Cincinnati Museum Center. Lauren will offer insights and examples of how her museum handled membership during a recent prolonged closure due to renovations, and how what was learned during that experience is guiding the museum now during COVID-19 closures.

The session will conclude with Q&A time with our panelists.
