With many museums focusing on virtual programming and for those whose volunteer corps might fall into a “high-risk” category, what about how museums can and should work with volunteers changed? What important factors of volunteer engagement haven’t changed?
Join Jenny Woods, President of the American Association for Museum Volunteers to explore volunteer engagement and training in the COVID era, and how volunteering is suddenly changing at a rapid pace.
Drawing on the data from a recent survey on the impact of COVID on museum volunteer programs, we will discuss current reactions and responses, new best practices, and look at an uncertain future and the implications for volunteers and museums.
This webinar is relevant for volunteer managers, administrators, or anyone who works with volunteers.
About our speaker: Jenny Woods is President of the American Association for Museum Volunteers, a networking organization for anyone working with volunteers in museums. She has 19 years of experience working with volunteers in museums, in both large and small organizations, in urban and rural settings, and nationally and internationally. She holds a master’s degree in museum studies and is certified in volunteer administration.
