Mark Your Calendars for the March #OHMuseumChat
The Ohio Museums Association is proud to present our March twitter chat – #OHMuseumChat– Thursday, March 19 at noon. These chats are a great, informal way to keep the communication flowing between museums in Ohio and beyond.
OMA had originally planned for this chat to discuss "Sensory Friendly Programming." However, in the lead-up to the March chat, the ever-changing and uncertain landscape of the COVID-19 virus has become an immediate concern to Ohio's museum community and or larger world.
We want to give Ohio's museum professionals a platform to connect with colleagues regarding how the virus has impacted you and your museum, how your organization is dealing with the disruptions of closure and event cancellations/postponement, resources for support now and in the future, self-care during an uncertain time, and other topics that are important to museum pros during this rapidly changing situation. For this month’s topic, we will be discussing "Responding to COVID-19.”
We hope you can join us this month to connect with museum professionals from across the state.
We look forward to exploring the topic of "Sensory Friendly Programming" next month during our April 16 chat.
Haven't participated in one of our #OHMuseumChat's before? It's easy to join the conversation!
So what exactly is a twitter chat?
A twitter chat is a live event focused around a single conversation hashtag - in our case, #OHMuseumChat. Our chat will use twitter as a means to connect museum professionals across Ohio (and perhaps, beyond!) for a relaxed and informal discussion on whatever our monthly topic is - which, for March is "Responding to COVID-19."
Participating is easy!
All you need to do to participate in the #OHMuseumChat is log on to twitter by noon on March 19 and search #OHMuseumChat. Then, you can join the conversation by adding #OHMuseumChat to your tweets. It's that simple!
As this month's chat is focused on how Ohio's museums and museum professionals are responding to COVID-19, we encourage you to bring your questions, resources and ideas. Take advantage of the opportunity to connect with your peers and get valuable ideas and resources as we work through these unknowns together.
Be sure to follow OMA on twitter - @OhioMuseums for all the latest updates from the Ohio Museums Association, and don't forget to follow #OHMuseumChat for the full March discussion as it happens.
We hope you can join us for #OHMuseumChat, Thursday, March 19 at noon.
