Ohio Museums Association’s 2020 Annual Conference Saturday Pre-Conference Tours

Coming to Cincinnati a little early for OMA 2020?
Not able to make it to the full OMA conference but still want a great OMA 2020 experience? See more of the Queen City and join us Saturday, April 4 for a full day of exploration and fun at four amazing Cincinnati museums!
The day will start at OMA 2020 Conference Headquarters, the Graduate Cincinnati at 9 a.m. Stops will include:
Cincinnati Skirball Museum – 9:05 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Our first stop is also the first formally established Jewish museum in the U.S., founded in 1913! Attendees can view the museum’s core exhibit, An Eternal People: The Jewish Experience, items from the B’nai B’rith Klutznick Collection, and the temporary exhibit, Archie Rand: Sixty Paintings from the Bible.
National Underground Railroad Freedom Center – 10:15 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Attendees can explore the Freedom Center’s many permanent exhibits, including Invisible: Slavery Today, Everyday Freedom Heroes, From Slavery to Freedom, The Struggle Continues, the film Brothers of the Borderland and more.
Taft Museum of Art – 12:10 p.m. – 2:15 p.m.
Enjoy lunch on-your-own with the seasonal menu at the Taft’s beautiful Lindner Family Café.
After lunch, attendees can take in the Taft Museum of Art’s permanent collection in addition to the special exhibition, N.C. Wyeth: New Perspectives. This exhibition brings together approximately 50 large-scale paintings, with works spanning from the American impressionist style of the 1910s to the regionalist realism of the 1930s and ’40s.
Weston Art Gallery – 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
At our final stop, attendees will get the final look at the exhibit Todd Pavlisko: Pop Supernatural before it closes. In this exhibit, the Ohio native and New York City-based artist presents a multifaceted installation of three interconnected bodies of work that reflects on cultural change and critique.
4:00 p.m. - Return to the Graduate Cincinnati
