Accessible museum events and programs benefit not only the disability community, but all people. Join Megan Fitze from Art Possible Ohio as she offers some essential tips for creating and planning indoor and outdoor programs.
Megan will offer easy, affordable and practical ideas you can put into place right away, as well as overall accessibility considerations for your museum spaces and policies. Bring your ideas, questions, and conundrums and we'll work through them together!
Megan Fitze currently serves as Executive Director of Art Possible Ohio after being in the role of Director of Programs for three year prior. Before APO, Megan worked at the Massillon Museum as Education and Outreach Manager where she co-established an accessibility committee, created audio descriptive and sensory tours, and developed a sensory room. She has also worked with Dublin Arts Council, the Columbus Metropolitan Library, and Global Gallery, a Fair Trade non-profit, in Columbus, Ohio. In her free time, Megan loves traveling all over Ohio with her husband, Josh, and son, Wesley, to experience the diverse cultural institutions and events Ohio offers.
